Glassine is paper that is made from a process where the paper is pressed thin and smooth, so it becomes dense, yet very thin and glossy. Glassine paper is semi-transparent and has a nice subtle crinkly sound. :) It is not grease proof, but it is grease and water resistant, making it a great paper bag for baked goods and treats.
The bags are commonly used blank, but often embellished with twine, printing or stamping. If you are stamping your bags, you need to use a smear proof ink, such as Stayz-On. The bags can also be printed with some ink-jet and laser printers, but your mileage may vary depending on the type of ink you use. If you do plan on printing, we suggest buying extra bags for test printing.
